Reactive dogs often feel overwhelmed or unsafe. Maybe your dog barks or lunges on walks, or avoids social situations. We initially gather data about your dog, both inside and out of the home, and discuss the theory behind reactivity. With insight into trigger stacking and body language, owners often say, “I finally understand what’s going on.” Start creating calm, safe experiences today.

Tailored Training
Every reactive dog is different. Maybe your dog is fearful of people or other dogs, or reacts to noises or touch. We work with the dog in front of us, assessing their individual needs and behaviours. With our dogs used as stooges, we build confidence at the dog’s pace. Book your package today and get the tailored plan your dog deserves.
Continued Support
Behaviour change takes time. Maybe you’ve tried training before but felt unsupported or confused. With videos to help understand the behaviour and ongoing support between sessions, you’re never on your own. Owners feel empowered and hopeful again. Let’s get started and support your dog together.

Your dog may show aggression towards people. Very often, pain is a factor. We look to rule out pain and medical issues before creating a plan to help your dog feel more comfortable. Maybe your dog has had bad experiences before. Together, we rebuild trust. Join us and start making progress.
If your dog is reactive around other dogs, we’ll help them feel more comfortable. Maybe your dog struggles in group settings or has been attacked in the past. Our dogs have helped hundreds of dogs by going at the dog’s pace. When they feel safe with ours, we introduce others. Join us to begin that journey.

We run The Family Dog Club in the New Forest. We are a Dog Training and Behaviour Company with over 100 dogs training with us weekly, both in classes and 1-2-1 training. We started out as a Dog Walking and Daycare Company back in 2010 and started on our training journey with the Institute of Modern Dog Trainers (IMDT).
We adore dogs, but love working with people just as much, seeing how we can improve their lives, sharing our knowledge and experience, helping you to understand your dog and helping them to live happy and enriched lives.
